What are the NCC Awards?

  • This is the inaugural event for The Northern Children of Courage Awards.  It builds on the success of the Yorkshire Children of Courage Awards which were first held in 2011 and the Midlands Children of Courage Awards, held for the first time in 2014.

The Awards celebrate the amazing achievements of children, young people and their families and carers and are being supported by The St. James’s Place Charitable Foundation.

The St. James’s Place Charitable Foundation is a grant-making charity with a difference. The vast majority of funds raised come from fundraising or generous donations made by the Partners and employees of St. James’s Place Wealth Management plc each year, these funds are then matched pound for pound by the company.

Over the last 29 years the St. James’s Place community has raised and distributed in excess of £108 million to good causes through the St. James’s Place Charitable Foundation.

  • The Northern Children of Courage Awards 2022 will be held on Friday, 6th May 2022 in Newcastle. The exact timings will be confirmed nearer the time. The format for the event will be an evening celebration dinner hosted by celebrities.

  • The Northern Children of Courage Awards will be held at the prestigious Newcastle Gateshead Hilton Hotel:

    Newcastle Gateshead Hilton

    Bottle Bank

    Gateshead

    NE8 2AR

    W: www.hilton.com/Hotel/Newcastle

    T: 0191 490 9700

  • Nominations will be received from a wide group of leading charities, all doing amazing work with children and young people in and around Northern. These charities can nominate individuals and caring teams that have overcome extraordinary challenges and achieved amazing things.

  • The prestigious dinner and awards will be a night to remember, with nearly 400 people joining the celebration. Alongside senior representatives of The St. James’s Place Charitable Foundation and the celebrity hosts - all award winners will be invited to attend with their family and carers, as will representatives of the partner charities.

  • The Awards have been developed and supported by The St. James’s Place Charitable Foundation . A volunteer event Committee has supported the development of the event and will judge the applications received.

Over the last 29 years the St. James’s Place community has raised and distributed in excess of £108 million to good causes through the St. James’s Place Charitable Foundation.
